Les Smashing Pumpkins sont un groupe de rock alternatif américain, originaire de Chicago. Le groupe est articulé autour du chanteur et guitariste Billy Corgan, qui est le seul membre à avoir participé à tous les albums du groupe.
Historiquement composé de Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin et D'Arcy Wretzky, le groupe se sépare en 2000 avant de se reformer en 2006. James Iha et D'Arcy Wretzky sont alors remplacés par Jeff Schroeder et Ginger Reyes pour les prestations live.
